The Aces took care of business tonight, defeating Pennridge 60-50 in the third round of the District 1 Playoffs.
After a back and forth first half that saw LM trailing 21-19 at the break, the Aces slowly took control on the strength of dominant inside play by Demetrius Lilley ‘22, who finished with a game-high 30 points. The Aces pushed their lead to double digits in the fourth quarter on a late trey by Eli Rothman ‘20 to stymie any comeback attempt by the Rams, champions of the Suburban League.
Following the game, the team welcomed legendary Ace Justin McFadden ‘14 in the postgame locker room. Justin recently returned from a long tour of service in the Peace Corps on the island nation of Timor Este. Justin is the program’s all time winningest Ace, having been part of 101 victories during his four year career. LM closes out the District playoffs Friday night at home against Coatesville. Tip-off is 7 PM.
