The Aces dug deep and stormed back from an early 17-3 deficit to beat Conestoga 61-50 on Tuesday night.
LM started the game 1-16 from the field and burned two timeouts in the first quarter before an electric defensive shift off the bench by Jalen Goodman '19 ignited the comeback. Goodman collected a steal and two rebounds and finished a driving layup off his own missed FT to cap a 7-0 run to end the quarter.
The Aces pulled within three at halftime on a bucket and free throws by Steve Payne '19, then led by as many as eight in a wild third quarter that saw the Pioneers regain their advantage by the end of the frame. But the fourth quarter was all Aces. It began with a Jack Forrest '19 dunk off a nice feed from Matt O'Connor '19 and ended with solid foul shooting in the closing minutes.
It was a gritty, impressive win in hostile territory and another strong team effort under pressure. The Aces close out the regular season Thursday at Ridley. Game time is 7 PM.
