Aces close out 2015 with 67-45 victory over Fels

Jeremy Horn had 16 points and eight rebounds in the Aces' victory over Fels.

The Aces concluded winter break with another convincing win, beating Fels 67-45 at the Pete Nelson Play by Play Classic at Chestnut Hill College. Jeremy Horn ?16 led the way with 16 points and eight rebounds to earn game MVP honors. Ten players entered the scoring column as LM built an early double-digit lead and never looked back.

Despite playing their third game in three days, the Aces had good energy at the start, jumping out to a 14-4 advantage behind steady inside play from Horn, several driving layups from KJ Helton ?16 and Terrell Jones ?17 and threes from Noah Fennell ?17 and Zack Magill ?16.

LM extended the lead in the second quarter, with Dion Harris ?17 and Eli Needle ?16 muscling inside for several layups and Magill continuing his hot shooting from beyond the arc. At halftime, LM held a 39-24 advantage. LM extended the lead to 18 in the third before a Fels run closed the gap to 13. LM put the clamps down in the fourth, finishing the game on an 11-3 run keyed by a layup from Steve Payne ?19 and consecutive threes from Najja Walker-X ?17 and Jack Forrest ?19.

With the win, LM improves to 8-2 while Fels falls to 6-4. The Aces return to action Tuesday night at Radnor; tip-off is 7 PM.
