Playoffs! Main Gym ready to rock on Friday night
The 2008 playoffs begin Friday night in the Main Gym as the Aces take on Academy Park at 7:30 PM. Lower Merion (18-6) is the #8 seed among 32 District 1 teams.
Highlights of the regular season included a breathtaking last-second win against Prep Charter, consecutive victories over Delaware’s top ranked teams, a 14-4 Central League record and a blowout of Hazleton at the Hoop Group Lehigh Classic. The team enters Friday's game having won eight of its last ten contests.
Friday night marks the final District Playoff opener in Main Gym history. To commemorate the event, a ceremony will be held at halftime to honor the 1976 and 1978 District I championship teams. A reunion for all LM Basketball alumni will be held at 6 PM in the lobby adjacent to the Athletic Office.
Tickets for Friday night's game are $5 and will be available at the door.
