The Aces' 2012-13 season gets underway Friday, December 7th with a marquee match-up at home against the nation's 11th-ranked team, Neumann Goretti. The Aces are coming off a stellar 2011-12 campaign, in which they advanced to the state finals, captured their 34th Central League title and finished 29-4 overall. The 29 wins was the second-highest season total in school history.

Tip-off is 7 PM Friday night in the Bryant Gymnasium. Tickets are on sale this week from 7 AM until 3 PM in the LMHS Athletics Office for $5. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. A sellout crowd is expected.

Friday's game will mark the first time since 1995 season that LM begins the season against a nationally-ranked opponent. The Saints won the PIAA 3A state championship and the Philadelphia Catholic League title in 2013 and are expected by many to duplicate that feat again this year.

LM begins its Central League campaign on Tuesday, December 11 at home against Haverford. Seven of the team's first eight games are in the Bryant Gymnasium, including a tournament over winter break featuring some of the area's top teams.

The Aces' notoriously difficult non-league schedule continues after break, with a trip to West Virginia on January 4th to take on New York power St. Raymond's in a national showcase game. Later in January, LM will play in the nationally-renowned Burger King Classic in Erie, PA.
