The award-winning Lower Merion Basketball Camp, led by Hall of Fame coach Gregg Downer, will hold two sessions this summer. Session One will be held July 25-29 at the brand new Kobe Bryant Gymnasium at Lower Merion High School. Session Two will be held August 22-26 at the JCC Kaiserman in Wynnewood. Register online by clicking the "Camp" tab on the navigation bar to the left.

Campers receive first rate instruction from current and former Aces’ players, a limited-edition camp t-shirt and have the opportunity to learn from special guest speakers like Phil Martelli (St. Joseph’s University), Fran Dunphy (Temple University), Bruiser Flint (Drexel University), and Speedy Morris (St. Joseph’s Prep) to name a few. Each day features skill development, scrimmages and exciting competitions for great prizes in a warm, family atmosphere. Named the "Best Basketball Camp on the Main Line" five times, Lower Merion Basketball Camp is a must for any young basketball player ages 8-16.

At $175 for five full days, the program is also one of the best camp bargains in the area.

"I grew up going to Lower Merion Basketball Camp and looked forward to it every summer," says Oliver Cohen, a 2009 All-Main Line selection and current starting point guard at Tufts University, "It is definitely one of the best camps around."

For Garrett Williamson of the NBA D-League and Ryan Brooks, a star in Germany’s top pro league, Lower Merion Basketball Camp provided an important foundation for their careers.

"In many ways, I got my start at Lower Merion Basketball Camp," said Brooks, a former Aces and Temple Owls star. "It's a lot of fun and Coach Downer runs a great program. I highly recommend it."

Said Williamson, who currently is in camp with the San Antonio Spurs, "Hard work. Dedication. Results. That's what I learned playing at Lower Merion and I got my first taste of it at camp. It's a must for any kid in the area who loves basketball."
