Mike Block '10 gave the Aces a strong inside presence during the Aces' 55-29 win on Friday night.

Less than 24 hours after a visit from Kobe Bryant '96, the Aces followed the NBA MVP's lead and dominated play against Garnet Valley on Friday night.
All 15 active players saw significant time as the Aces rolled the Jaguars 55-29.
It was senior night for Garnet Valley, but it was the LM seniors who set the tone. Oliver Cohen '10 (16 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 4 steals) led a balanced attack that featured 12 Aces in the scoring column. Cohen and fellow senior Alon Seltzer '10 (11 points) did their damage in just over two quarters of play as LM turned to the bench for much of the second half.
Aaron Staley '10 (4 points), Mike Block '10 (4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks), Xavion Walls '10 (4 points), Mike Buchwald '11 (2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals), David Ancona-Cole '10 (2 points), Luke Chambers '11 (2 points, 5 rebounds), Eric Green '11 (2 points, 3 rebounds) and JJ Hoffstein '10 (1 point) dominated the paint all night long, while Matt McKenna '11 (4 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds) and Darius Hall '11 (1 point, 2 steals) contributed excellent play from the backcourt. Mike Robbins '12 provided a huge lift in a decisive 18-6 second quarter run, taking a charge and providing energy off the bench. Robbins finished with 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
Colin Eisenstaedt '11 delivered one of the game's biggest highlights on a soaring blocked shot of a Jaguars fastbreak layup attempt in the fourth frame. Dan Peterson '11 scored his first career varsity point.
Perhaps Kobe should stop by more often.
The Aces return to Bala Cynwyd Middle School on Saturday night as they take on Parkland High School at 7:30 PM. The team will honor the memory of Hall of Famer Harry Middleton '42 during a pregame tribute.
