The Aces broke open a close game late in the 2nd quarter and coasted to a 57-38 home win over Harriton on Tuesday night. Alon Seltzer '10 led all scorers with 19 points and handed out four assists, including a spectacular alley-oop lob to Aaron Staley '10 (14 points) that punctuated a scintillating second half.

Oliver Cohen '10 had another strong all-around game, contributing 14 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Cohen connected on two treys and shot a perfect 4-4 from the free-throw line.

Harriton hung tough through the early going, but the Aces were able to capitalize on the offensive glass during the second quarter. On one key possession, a series of Aces offensive rebounds ultimately resulted in a Mike Buchwald '11 (6 points) three-pointer  that gave the Aces a five point margin. Harriton would never get any closer. Cohen and Seltzer teamed up for the highlight of the half -- Cohen dove for a loose ball and in one motion flipped a behind-the-back, full-court pass to Seltzer who converted with a dunk on the other end.

The Aces pushed the lead to double digits early in the second half thanks to a three by Seltzer and the inspired play of Staley, who had 6 points in the 3rd quarter.

LM sailed in the final frame, leading by as many as 24 points. Senior fan favorite Guy Mentel provided the night capper on an acrobatic reverse layup in the closing minute that had the Dawg Pound -- almost 400 strong -- rocking in the stands.

Darius Hall '11 (2 points), Conor Foote '10, Matt McKenna '11, JJ Hoffstein '10 and David Ancona-Cole '10 played outstanding perimeter defense, helping to limit Harriton to its 2nd lowest point total of the season. Also contributing for the Aces were Mike Block '10, Eric Green '11 and Xavion Walls '10.

Next up for the Aces is a visit to Springfield this Friday night at 7:30 PM.
