Eric Green '11 scored a career-high 10 points on Thursday night
The Aces took one on the chin Thursday night, dropping a 67-54 decision to Marple Newtown. It was the first league loss of the season for an LM team that has played shorthanded for most of their first eight games. The Tigers showed why they are considered by many to be a league contender this season.

The Aces struggled out of the gates, shooting just 1-9 from the three-point line in the first-half. The shooting woes continued at the free throw line, where the team finished 4-11 on the evening. Down 13 at half, the Aces made a strong third quarter run led by Eric Green '11 (10 points in the quarter) to pull within four points heading into the final frame. But LM couldn't sustain the momentum and a late comeback fell short.

Oliver Cohen '10 led the Aces with 14 points. Also scoring for LM were Matt McKenna '11 (11 points), Green (10 points),  Aaron Staley '11 (5 points), Mike Buchwald '11 (5 points), Mike Robbins '12 (5 points), Conor Foote '10 (4 points).

The Aces turn their attention to the red-hot Strath Haven Panthers on Saturday. The Panthers have won six in a row and are off to their best start in more than five years. Gametime is 2:30 PM at Strath Haven.
