Rosemont, PA - A balanced scoring effort and stifling first half defense that held Harriton to just four points led Lower Merion (12-1) to an impressive 52-14 victory over district foe Harriton on Thursday night at Harriton High School. Senior forward Molly Hanlon scored a game-high 17 points, all in the first half, and all thirteen players saw action for the Aces.

Lower Merion secured the outcome with a 19-2 first quarter run in a span of nearly six minutes and eventually ballooned their lead to 30-2 with 3:45 remaining in the second quarter. Hanlon hit two three-point field goals in each of the first two quarters while sophomore guard Sheba Hall added eight of her 10 points in the first half. The Aces took a commanding 38-4 lead into the halftime break.

Seven different Lower Merion players found their names in the box score in a game where each player made significant contributions. Hanlon led all scorers on the night with 17 including a 4-of-5 effort from beyond the arc. Senior Amy Woods added 11 points and eight boards while Hall contributed 10 points, five steals and four assists. Other scorers for the Aces included Lil Carney with six, Lila Jones with four, Dana Albalancy with two and freshman guard Gwen Porter who notched her first career points on a jumper in the middle of the fourth quarter.
