Ardmore, PA - A balanced scoring effort and stifling defense led the Aces (2-0) to a 59-25 league victory over Garnet Valley (1-2) on Friday night at Bala Cynwyd Middle School. Junior forward Kiki Worku led three Aces in double figures with a game-high 16 points and eight players got into the scoring column for LM.
In addition to her game-high scoring total, Worku also led the Aces with eight rebounds and two block shots. Sophomore guard Lila Jones registered a career-high 12 points including 10 in the second half while senior forward Amy Woods chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Other scoring for the Aces included Molly Hanlon and Sheba Hall with six, Jessie Porter with four, Lil Carney with three and Dana Albalancy with two.
The Aces will get right back on the court tomorrow afternoon when they take on Spring Ford in the 3rd annual Hoops for Hope Classic. Tip-off is set for 2:30 PM at the Dixon Center at Cabrini College.
