It has come to the attention of the Lower Merion basketball family that a broadcaster hired to call the Aces' playoff games made inappropriate and unsportsmanlike comments during last night's game v. Chester. While the young man has apologized publicly and with sincerity, this kind of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. As such, we have relieved him of his role as playoff broadcaster and hope he learns from his mistake.

The Lower Merion/Chester basketball rivalry is one marked by mutual respect and admiration and we are honored to be part of this legacy. We deeply regret if the comments made by the broadcaster caused any offense. They certainly do not represent the sentiments and opinions of Lower Merion basketball and the Lower Merion community.
