The Aces racked up another Central League win on Saturday, defeating Radnor 62-56. The Aces held the lead in every quarter, going into halftime up 32-20. Hot shooting by Greg Robbins (season high 24 points) and Carl Johnson (17 points) paced the Aces charge throughout the game. LM also played strong defense, contesting shots and winning the battle of the boards. Andrew King got another start last night, and joined reserve Galloway Green in adding some rebounding strength in the absence of Kevin Escott.

Johnson continued to show off his much improved perimeter game. He hit three mid-range jumpers in a row and a three-pointer in the third, evidence of his hard work in the offseason. Three-point threat Steve Meehan hit another trey in the win and finished with 8 points. LM is now 7-1 in the Central League, gaining a share of first place with Ridley. The Green Raiders suffered their first league loss to Haverford on Saturday.

The Aces resume play on Tuesday against Ridley (7-1, 12-2) at 7:30 PM at Ridley. Perennial league contenders, the Green Raiders boast 6-7 forward Dan Robinson, who is averaging 21.8 points a game, and two-sport athlete Steve Egee, who is 13.3 points per contest after leading Ridley?s football team to a District title and deep state run in the Fall.
