Gameday!

The season officially begins tonight at 6 PM when the Aces take on Lancaster McCaskey at Parkland HS in the opening game of the Eastern Pennsylvania Tip-Off Classic. The game is the first since the Aces' state title win last March, and signals the start of a new era in Lower Merion basketball. Six seniors from last year's squad have departed, their spots filled by a roster of young players looking to make their own mark in Lower Merion's storied legacy. A familiar face is at the helm, as Coach Gregg Downer embarks on his 17th season. Downer is just four victories shy of the 300 win plateau.

A large contingent of fans from Aces Nation is expected to make the 50 minute trip to Parkland's beautiful basketball facility on Friday afternoon. For those traveling from the Main Line, take I-476 N (Northeast Extension) 41.3 miles to Exit #56/US-22 E. Follow 22-E towards Allentwon for 3.1 miles. Take the Cedar Crest Boulevard exit and turn right onto North Cedar Crest Boulevard. In 2.1 miles, the school will be on the left (2700 N. Cedar Crest Boulevard.)
