The Aces exploded on a 14-3 run to start the game and never looked back in a 68-42 thrashing of Strath Haven on Tuesday at the Main Gym. Lower Merion outscored the Panthers in every quarter, effectively countering a variety of Strath Haven defenses en route to victory. The Aces used 5-8 shooting from beyond the arc to bust the Panthers' 2-3 zone and punished Strath Haven's man-to-man with relentless attacks at the basket, getting to the free throw line 18 times on the night. The defense continued to shine - for the 2nd straight game no opposing player reached double-digits in points.

Ten Aces players entered the scoring column, led by Greg Robbins who finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds, Carl Johnson (14 points), Steve Meehan (11 points), Eric Stahler (10 points, 3 blocks) and Eric Barefield (4 points, 5 assists, 0 turnovers). Adam Ellison and Kevin Escott turned in fine defensive performances, helping to secure the back line of the Aces' stingy man-to-man pressure. Will Jones (3 points, 2 steals) provided energy off the bench, as did Brett Frankel, Mike Joseph, Harley Williamson and freshman Alon Seltzer (4 points), who impressed with several strong moves to the basket.

On Friday, the Aces will hit the road to face Upper Darby. The Royals, who remain in 2nd place in the Central League, handed the Aces their worst loss of the season, a 63-42 drubbing back on December 15. Gametime is 7:30 PM.
