The Aces completed another season sweep of league rival Radnor on Tuesday night, downing the Red Raiders 65-53 in the Main Gym. Sophomore Greg Robbins led all scorers with 22 points and collected seven rebounds and four blocked shots. The Aces used a swarming, full court press to force 23 Radnor turnovers. Senior Eric Barefield (11 points, 11 assists) finished the game with 7 steals, just three shy of the Lower Merion record (10) set by Garry Kelly in 1992. Eric Stahler '09 had five steals of his own to go along with eight points, four assists and four rebounds. Kevin Escott '08 also reached double-digits in points (10) - other scorers included Harley Williamson '09 (5 points), Alon Seltzer '10 (4 points), Steve Meehan '08 (3 points) and Andrew King '08 (2 points). Senior Adam Ellison played a strong defensive game throughout.
The Aces connected for 7 three-pointers on the night, including three from Robbins, two from Stahler and one apiece from Meehan and Williamson.
The Aces (17-6) close the regular season against Ridley on Friday night. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the annual Senior Night ceremony, where the team will honor this year's seniors, Eric Barefield and Adam Ellison. Both players have played key roles in the team's success during the past few years. Friday also features the unveiling of the 2006 Championship Team Photo, which will be on display high above the Main Gym floor. Aces Nation will welcome back last year's seniors (Ryan Brooks, Jon Gray, Pete Lucas, Ernest Moore, Arian Thompson and Garrett Williamson) for a brief pre-game ceremony and presentation at center court.
