It's official! The Aces are the #8 seed in the District 1 playoffs and open at home on Friday (2/16 - 7 PM) against #25 Oxford. The Hornets, a former AAA power now playing AAAA, finished with a solid 16-8 record and placed 2nd in the Southern Chester County League (American Division).

LM is one of four Central League teams to earn a Top 16 seed (first-round home game) in the 32-team field. The others are Upper Darby (#1), Ridley (#7) and Haverford (#15). The Aces remained one position behind Ridley despite a dominant 52-27 victory over the Green Raiders in the regular season finale. The victory was important, however, in giving the Aces a Top 8 seed. This is the first year that the District 1 playoff rankings have been determined by a computer formula. The formula considers total wins against PIAA opponents, strength of schedule, and opponents' wins against PIAA teams. To view the "Power Rankings" for District 1, click here.
