This Saturday night at 8:00 PM in the Main Gym, the Aces will go head to head with Prep Charter, the two-time, defending AA State Champions. The Huskies finished the '07 campaign with a 27-4 record and scored a come-from-behind state championship win in March behind the play of the Memphis-bound Morris twins (Markieff and Morris). While the Morris brothers aren't on this year's squad (they are prepping for a year before heading to college), Prep Charter is widely considered a favorite to three-peat at Class AA. The Huskies' line-up is loaded with Division 1 talent, led by one of the area's top guards – the sweet-shooting 6'4 Jesse Morgan, and 6'7 winger Tyree Harris, a multi-talented athlete and scorer. Prep Charter won its first two games of the season against Hershey High and city-contender Strawberry Mansion in convincing fashion.
Prep Charter is the Aces' first non-league opponent of the 2007-08 season. LM enters Saturday night's contest with four consecutive league wins, including a 63-46 win against Haverford on Thursday night.
The Aces/Prep Charter game is part of the 2007 Main Line Classic at Lower Merion, a Scholastic Play-by-Play event. At 6 PM, state contender Pennsbury will tip-off against Penn Wood, another emerging power in District 1. For more information, click here.
