Jones '02 earns Player of the Week honors

Rob Jones '02, a senior forward at Immaculata University, was named Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Week for the week ending December 9. The award was announced on Monday, December 10 at the conference office in Aston, PA.

Jones averaged 18.0 points per game to lead the Mighty Macs to a 2-0 week. He collected two straight doubles-doubles, including a 19-point, 11-rebound effort vs. Delaware Valley College on Saturday. Jones collected 17 points and 13 rebounds in a 70-65 victory over Alvernia College on Monday, December 3. He shot 88.9% from the charity stripe and 45.2% from the floor in the two games last week.

Jones is second on the team in both scoring (14.0) and rebounding (9.8) and has helped guide the Mighty Macs to a mark of 5-0 overall. It is Immaculata's best start in its short three-year career.

Jones was a captain of the Aces' 2002 Central League championship team, an All-Central League player and was Lower Merion’s male senior athlete of the year.
