Aces open season with a bang, beat Springfield 69-26

The Aces opened the 2007-08 season in grand fashion with a 69-26 thrashing of Springfield. LM set the tone early, jumping out to a 20-5 first quarter lead and never looked back, using relentless pressure defense and a deft transition game to key the victory.

Eric Stahler led a balanced attack with 14 points, netting the first five points of the game. A total of 13 Aces scored, including Carl Johnson (11 points, 4 assists), Steve Meehan (9 points, 4-4 from the field), Galloway Green (8 points, 5 rebounds), Greg Robbins (7 points), Kevin Escott (4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks), Andrew King (4 points, 4 rebounds), Will Jones (3 points), Ben Lucas (3 points), Sal D'Angelo (2 points), Chase Thompson (2 points), Oliver Cohen (2 points) and Conor Foote (2 points).

All 16 players on the roster saw time.

Next up for the Aces is the home opener against a much improved Strath Haven squad. The Panthers visit the Main Gym on Saturday; tip-off is 7:30 pm.
