The Aces rolled to a 59-39 victory over Harriton on Tuesday night in front of a sold out crowd at Bryant Gymnasium. The teams traded baskets in the early going, but the Aces took the lead for good at 12-10 on a late first quarter trey by Corey Sherman ’15. LM would extend the margin to eight by the half and 20 points by the fourth quarter.

KJ Helton ’16 led the Aces with a career-high 24 points. The junior guard scored eight consecutive points during a decisive 15-3 second half run highlighted by a three-pointer from the wing and driving layup.

Helton, Sherman (6 points) and Steve Pendleton ’15 (9 points) combined to harass the Rams’ perimeter attack, while Jule Brown ‘15 (11 points), Asher Barry ’15 (2 points), Eli Needle ’16 (2 points) and Dion Harris ’17 held down the interior. Pendleton finished with five steals, including four in the second half.

The Aces defense held the Rams to their lowest point tally of the season.

Rounding out the scoring for LM were Joel Dunoff ’15 (2 points), Amir Horton ’17 (2 points) and Terrell Jones ’17 (2 points).

Though the outcome on the court was decided early, the two schools' student sections kept things interesting all night long. The Dawg Pound was in full-effect and traded good-natured barbs with Harriton's "Herd" until the final buzzer. Of course, the Pound had the final word, reminding their opponents of the final result on the "scoreboard, scoreboard, scoreboard."

With the win, the Aces improve to 9-4 (7-1 Central League). Up next for the Aces is a visit to Upper Darby on Thursday. Tip-off is 7 PM.
