Pennsylvania's version of March Madness begins Saturday as 32 teams begin their quest for the state's biggest basketball prize -- the PIAA AAAA title.
The Aces have earned a ticket to the big dance for the sixth time in the past eight years and will take on Dover at Spring-Ford Area High School on Saturday afternoon in round one of the state tournament. Tip-off is 3 PM. A limited number of tickets ($6) will be available at the doors.
The Dover Eagles (19-9), Division II champs from the York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association, earned one of seven state bids from District 3 and have tallied their most victories since the 1991-92 campaign. The Aces (25-3), champions of the Central League, earned the #2 seed from District 1 following a tough loss to Chester in the District 1 Finals.
