The Aces continued their success against Central League opponents this week, knocking off Springfield on Tuesday and Garnet Valley on Friday night. Both wins came on the road.

BJ Johnson '13 led the way in LM's 69-56 win over the Cougars, drilling three first quarter threes en route to a game-high 18 points. Johnson was one of five Aces in double figures, including Darryl Reynolds '12 (14 points, 9 rebounds), Raheem Hall '13 (14 points), Jaquan Johnson '14 (11 points) and Mike Robbins (10 points). Despite opening up a 27-15 lead in the first quarter, the Aces struggled to put away a frisky Springfield squad in a sloppy performance marred by a season-high 24 turnovers. Springfield cut the Aces' double-figure lead to four early in the fourth quarter, before LM closed on a 13-4 run to seal the game. Robbins and Reynolds combined for ten fourth quarter points.

The story was much different on Friday night as the Aces completely disassembled the undermanned Jaguars in a 76-23 mauling. LM outscored Garnet 24-2 in the first quarter and held a 38-9 halftime advantage. Every active member of the roster saw playing time and 13 Aces entered the scoring column. Corey Sherman '15 came off the bench to lead all scorers with a career-high 16 points. The freshman guard had a perfect shooting night, nailing all five of his shots from the field, including four treys and adding two free throws. Yohanny Dalembert '13 finished with a double-double, collecting 12 points and 14 rebounds. Bryan Shapiro '13 finished with a team-high six assists.

Just three nights after their worst turnover mark of the season, the Aces had a season-low seven turnovers against Garnet Valley.

The Aces are now 14-2 overall and 11-0 in league play.

On Saturday, LM will play in the featured game of the Kobe Bryant Classic at the Bryant Gymnasium at 7:30 PM against state-ranked Scranton. LM squeaked by the Scarlet Knights in the opening round of the state playoffs last season in a game played in Scranton. Other games in Saturday's lineup include Archbishop Carroll vs. Neshaminy (12:45 PM), Westtown vs. South Kent, CT (2:30 PM), Friends Central vs. Penn Wood (4:15 PM), Harriton vs. Holy Ghost (6 PM) and ANC vs. South Shore, NY (9 PM).
