Justin McFadden '14 and the Aces shut down Ridley on Friday.

The Aces turned in perhaps their most impressive defensive effort of the season in a 49-25 win over Ridley on Friday night. LM limited the Green Raiders to just eight first half points and held the Central League's reigning MVP, Shawn Church, to four points for the game.

The 25 points scored by Ridley was a season-low.

BJ Johnson '13 opened the scoring for LM with three consecutive three-pointers en route to a game-high 16 points. Backcourt mate Raheem Hall '13 had 10 points and Darryl Reynolds had 11 to help pace the Aces attack.

The unsung hero of the game was sophomore Justin McFadden who teamed with Hall to handle the talented Church. Senior Mike Robbins also had a strong defensive outing, coming up with a number of deflections and perhaps the highlight of the game, a soaring weak side block of a Ridley layup attempt in the first half.

Defense was the theme across the board, and every LM player who took to the floor on Friday appeared to embrace the challenge. Yohanny Dalembert '13 was a force in the paint, blocking and altering shots. Jaquan Johnson '14 was his usual high-octane self, applying heavy pressure in the backcourt. Bryce Williamson '12 had another strong outing off the bench.

With the win, the Aces improve to 12-2 (9-0 CL).  LM returns to action on Wednesday at Springfield against a dangerous Cougars squad that raised its record to 9-4 with a win over Penncrest yesterday.
