The Lower Merion Aces will host the 1st Jimmy Brown Basketball Alumni Classic on Friday, May 21st at 6:30 PM in the Downs Gym. All proceeds will benefit the Cruisin’ Not Boozin’ program, which creates awareness among young people about the potential devastating effects of drinking and driving. The Classic will feature a match-up between current Aces seniors and a team of Aces alumni.

The honoree of the evening is former Lower Merion basketball star Jimmy Brown, who will be in attendance with parents Kaye and Jim Brown. Over the years, Jimmy and his family have gone school to school, sharing their very personal experience in conjunction with Cruisin' Not Boozin', giving kids a strong message about being behind the wheel under the influence. The Aces support the Browns in their efforts and encourage friends, fans and family to come out and say ”hi” to Jimmy. The Jimmy Brown Classic will feature various prizes and contests along with an entertaining game for a great cause. Suggested donations are $5 for students and $8 for adults.
