Alon Seltzer '10 had 14 points in the Aces' win on Friday

Finally, the Aces seemed almost perfect. Both offensively and defensively, Lower Merion had their way with Garnet Valley, putting points on the board on almost every possession and preventing the Jaguars' Princeton offense from clicking in a 72-39 romp. The Maroon & White won for the eighth consecutive game, improving their record to 14-4, and strengthening their hold on second place in the Central League.
The heroes of the week’s earlier affair against Upper Darby once again shouldered the load. Senior Greg Robbins, coming off of a career-high 37 points, continued his hot streak, notching 21 points in three quarters of play. Senior Harley Williamson added 18 points and three blocks. Junior Alon Seltzer chipped in with 14 points. Coming off of the bench in the second half, senior Mike Joseph did his best impression of a human wall, swatting two shots and collecting a steal. Sophomore Matt McKenna tallied nine points, four of which came on beautiful backdoor feeds from junior Conor Foote. In all, nine Aces scored in what was truly a team effort. The Aces were frequent visitors to the charity stripe, converting 18 of 26 attempts.
The Aces return to Norristown High School on Saturday night for a match-up with PA’s #2-ranked team, Penn Wood, at the Kobe Bryant Classic. Tip-off is 7:30 PM.
