We always knew he was bigtime, but now it's confirmed. Our good friend and former LM assistant coach Jeremy Treatman is the subject of a feature article in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated! (Barry Bonds on cover). Jeremy is the President of Scholastic Play by Play Network, a pioneer in the development of showcase high school basketball events, sports broadcasting camps and radio/internet high school sports networks. SPBPN has produced events seen by hundreds of thousands of spectators, bringing positive exposure to future NBA players such as Lebron James and Sebastian Telfair. Congratulations! ..to our girls team, who defeated Lancaster McCaskey 42-33 on Friday night in their opening State Playoff game. This is the first time in Lower Merion history that the boys and girls teams have qualified for the State playoffs in two consecutive years.

Fan of the Week

Following the Chester game, I made a brief trip to Orlando to cover the LMHS music program's trip to Disney. I was disappointed to be leaving the team for a few days, but it was a prior commitment and hey, there are worse places to be than Florida in March...What struck me immediately and helped ease the pain from the loss was the enthusiasm and talent of the kids on the trip and their passion for Aces basketball. On the concert stage, their ability and hard work showed - they were incredible. At the hotel and in the parks, our playoff run was a major topic of discussion, and organized chants of "Let's Go Aces!" echoed through Space Mountain, It's a Small World and numerous other hot spots in the Magic Kingdom. I overheard one member of the orchestra talking about rescheduling a planned trip to NYC this weekend so that he could be sure to take his usual seat in the Dawg Pound. The whole experience was another reminder that Aces fans come in all shapes, sizes and from varied backgrounds and interests. And when the Dawg Pounders are rocking the stands in the coming days, no doubt our awesome group of student musicians will ensure they find their rhythm.

Thanks, again for your continued support. Hope to see you in the stands on Saturday!
