The Aces, who finished 24-8 and advanced to the State’s Elite Eight, placed five players on the Main Line Times All Main Line squad, including senior Eric Barefield, junior Carl Johnson, sophomore Greg Robbins, junior Steve Meehan and sophomore Eric Stahler. Barefield, Johnson and Robbins earned first-team recognition, while Head Coach Gregg Downer took Main Line Coach of the Year honors. Main Line Life honored Robbins as Main Line Player of the Year, with Barefield and Johnson joining him on the All Main Line Life first team. Meehan took 2nd team honors, while Stahler and senior Adam Ellison earned honorable mention. Both Robbins and Johnson were named to the All Central League 1st Team and Barefield was named to the 2nd Team. For the 3rd consecutive year, an Aces player was named to the Associated Press’s All-State squad, with Robbins selected for the 3rd Team by PA sportswriters. He follows Garrett Williamson and Ryan Brooks, who both took state honors in 2005 and 2006.
